Why do some Mdu Probes get installed above the bottom plate?

There are a number of reasons why Mdu Probes are installed above the bottom plate. For example the wall may be partly block and the timber bottom plate is higher than normal. The house may have gone through a more in-depth assessment, and the assessor required information at those points to determine the leak path or consequential damage.
