House gains CCC despite having “non-acceptable” solutions

Tarsha needed a Code of Compliance for her home and was told she may have to reclad. The Mdu System assisted Council to re-assess the house and the house was granted a CCC

Dear Moisture Detection Thankyou for your moisture detection report provided to us late last year. We have now forwarded this report to council and our code of compliance certificate is in the process of being issued. We were totally distraught upon having our council final inspection to learn that the council was not going to approve the cladding component of our dream home. We also believed councils stance that the house may fall into the ‘leaky home’ category to be unjustified. The report we received from Moisture Detection Company Limited both confirmed our belief that our home was well constructed and waterproof, and also demonstrated this to council. Upon receipt of the report council passed the cladding component of our home within two weeks. We are also grateful for the peace of mind we now have knowing that our home is water-tight. The Mdu Probe System has given us the means to address any water-tightness issues that may arise as our home gets older before any significant damage or deterioration occurs. Your system enabled us to achieve a mutually beneficial compromise with the council, with minimal cost and anxiety. Many thanks for all your assistance. Kind regards, Tarsha Hazleman
