Leak test through cracks

See whether water does track in through cladding cracks – stucco tested. Answer Council debate that what started first – the crack so water got in – or the water gets in to wet the framing which causes movement that causes the crack that lets in more water. Water can track through microscopic leaks often 100-200mm beyond the ends of cracks visible to the naked eye. Don’t know what starts first. No indication that moisture entering crack can get to framing. Process likely to be long term. Tested in 2005 on in-situ houses.
